Dr. MooYoung is a licensed psychologist who earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University. With more than a decade of experience, she has walked alongside people through some of life's most complex and meaningful challenges.

Her professional path spans hospitals, community mental health settings, and the Department of Veterans Affairs, where she worked with diverse populations and a wide range of presentations. Across every setting, she has been known for approaching each person with thoughtfulness, curiosity, and deep respect for their lived experience.

Dr. MooYoung specializes in trauma therapy, family-of-origin concerns, and grief and loss. She holds a passion and special dedication to working with adult adoptees exploring questions of identity, belonging, and attachment. Drawing from both her professional expertise and her own lived experience, she understands that healing in these areas asks for more than clinical skill. It asks for a space where you feel truly seen.

Her therapeutic approach weaves together psychodynamic and attachment-based frameworks with evidence-based cognitive and behavioral approaches — always tailored to the individual. Dr. MooYoung is collaborative and intentional, warm and conversational, yet gently honest. She is deeply committed to a process that honors complexity, supports real insight, and creates the conditions for lasting, meaningful change.

Dr. MooYoung is licensed in Florida and New York and holds PSYPACT authorization, allowing her to provide virtual services in more than 40 participating states. She sees clients in person at her office in Maitland, FL — in the heart of Central Florida — and virtually for those seeking exceptional care from wherever they are.
